History

Geely founded Zeekr in March 2021 as its premium electric brand, and the first model, the 001, arrived the same year. Zeekr listed on the New York Stock Exchange in May 2024, and in early 2025 it took a majority stake in Lynk & Co. On 22 December 2025 Geely Auto took the company fully back in and delisted the shares, after a good eighteen months on the market.

EV strategy

Zeekr builds on the SEA platform, developed in Gothenburg in Sweden, and has used its own LFP battery with an 800 volt architecture since December 2023. The brand entered Europe in 2023 in Sweden and the Netherlands, and Germany followed in December 2025.
