History
JAC was established in 1964 as Hefei Jianghuai Automobile Factory, initially focused on commercial trucks. The company was renamed Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co., Ltd. in 1997 and went public on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2001. Since the 2000s, the company diversified into passenger vehicles and SUVs while building strategic partnerships with Volkswagen and NIO.
EV strategy
